MaryJane Hyle Cathey

June 2, 1948 — February 17, 2019

MaryJane Hyle Cathey, 70, passed very peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2019. She was surrounded by her very loving family and friends. A celebration of her life service will be held on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials be made to Cathey’s Creek Church of Christ, 4418 Stephenson Schoolhouse Road, Hampshire, TN 38461. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. MaryJane was born on June 2, 1948 to be the loving daughter of the late Robert Blaine Hyle, Sr. and Lucille Angus Hyle. MaryJane come to marry and be a loving wife to Hobert Earl Cathey on June 22, 1967. She has a son Allen Hyle Cathey married to Tennille and so many other children of the Hampshire Community. MaryJane was baptized to the Baptist faith. She had a heart for good Southern Gospel music and loved to fish and raise her crops and animals. She loved going to the river with her friends, Lois and Norman Hardison. In addition to husband and son, MaryJane is survived by her really fine brother, Robert Blaine Hyle, Jr., nephew, Robert Blaine Hyle, III wife Janna Hyle. She has nieces, Dawn Cathey and Jenny Hyle King married to Ronnie King. She has a really special great nephew, Jacob Eli Hyle. She is survived by several cousins from the Angus family, Danny Angus, Jegetta Angus Hord, Jecinda Angus Johnson, Anna Angus Pogue, with all their fine husbands and children. Special friends include Lois Hardison, Norman Hardison, Jr., Blair and Sandra Pogue, Patty Grimmitt, Ann Fitzgerald, Darrell and Melissa Potts and many others. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Chase Logan Cathey; and sister-in-law, Joyce Hyle. Pallbearers will be Ronnie King, Mark Jones, Billy Winn, Blaine Hyle, Eli Hyle, and David Bridgeforth. Honorary pallbearers are friends and family of the Hampshire Community. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Andrew Karl Nielson, also all the staff at Maury Regional Medical Center.
