Mattie Brown Davis Kelley, 96, homemaker, died Friday, July 4, 2008 at her residence in Antioch. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Johnnie Davis and Bertha Brown Davis and a member of the Church of Christ. She was married December 23, 1926 to Horace Kelley. Mr. Kelley died April 23, 1975. Survivors include 2 daughters, Estylene Lancaster of Columbia and Wanda (Roy) Wilson of Smyrna; 2 sons, Kenneth (Ellen) Kelley of Antioch and Ronnie (Marcia) Kelley of Columbia; 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Sanford Davis, Walker Davis, Dick Davis and Floyd "Cotton" Davis; 3 sisters, Hulda Beard, Myrtle Potts, and Ethel Davis. She was preceded in death by 4 daughters, Bertha Griffin, Sue Lemley, Doris Stephens, and Margaret Lemley; 4 sons, John Kelley, Ernest Kelley, Mason Kelley, and Clyde Kelley; 2 sisters, Hattie Hanes and Edna Riley and a brother, Henry Davis. Active pallbearers are Roger Lancaster, Jeff Lancaster, Allen Lancaster, Adam Kelley, Larry Kelley, and David Kelley. Honorary pallbearers include Billy Marrisett, Randy Marrisett, Ron McIntyre, Roy Wilson, and Mike Griffin.
