Mavis Juanita Collier Sesler, 85, widow of James Herschel Sesler, homemaker, and resident of West 12th Street, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. A native of Waverly, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Coleman Collier and Gerline Potter Collier and a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Joanne Clark and Kimberly Hagstrom, both of Columbia; a son, Mark Sesler of Columbia; two sisters, Alice Wright of Nashville and Ann Stogner of Georgia; a brother, Larry Collier of Nashville; three half-sisters, Barbara Jean Cathey, Betty Lou Mitchell, and Ineze Norman, all of Dickson; two half-brothers, Walter Lee Collier of Arizona and Odie Profitt of Dickson; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Billy Mitchell, Walter Lee Collier, Jessie McCord, Dewey Profitt, and Christopher Brennan.
