Maxine Fraser Webster, 87, died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at her residence on Darks Mill Road. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 4:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Chad Roland officiating. A private family burial will follow in Webster Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to New Life Baptist Church, 1507 Gravel Hill Road, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Odell Richard "Dick" Fraser and the late Mary Azalea Ammons Earwood Fraser. On July 1, 1950, she married Hylaman Alison "Bam" Webster, III, who preceded her in death November 2, 1998. She was a 1947 graduate of Columbia Central High School and had attended Columbia Business College. She was an excellent cook and loved entertaining family and friends. An avid antique collector, Mrs. Webster enjoyed traveling and attending auctions. She was very fond of the time spent on the family ranch in Montana. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Marilyn Maxine Webster Norton of Columbia; sons, Richard Jonathan "Ricky" (Sonya) Webster of Columbia; William Michael "Moe" (Jill) Webster of Cross Bridges; sister, Mary Carolyn (Eddie) Delk of Columbia; grandchildren, Tiffany Maxine Norton (Jimmy) Dobbins of Nashville; Brandee Webster (Derek) Ransom of Columbia; Robert Burton "Rob" (Becca) Norton of Columbia; Jennifer Brook Webster (David) Prentice of Santa Fe; H. A. "Quint" Webster, V of Cross Bridges; Jeannie Jo Webster (Doug) Chapman of Columbia; Jillian Michael Webster of Nashville; Berry Michael Webster of Cross Bridges; Carter Cheek of Columbia; Dakota Cheek of Columbia; and nineteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Hylaman Alison Webster, IV; brother, Gordon Earwood; and son-in-law, Gary Norton.
