Melvin Vance White, Sr., 81, resident of Kerr Hill Road in Lynnville, died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at NHC-Maury Regional Transitional Care Center. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram with full military honors. Mr. White served in the United States Army from 1956-1979, where he retired as Master Sergeant.Survivors include his children, Gerhart Melvin White; Robert Peter White; Rose Erna (Philip) Foster; and Melvin (Mary) White, Jr.; former wife, Erna Schopf White; siblings, Berton; Eugene; Margaret; Montell; Kenneth; and Hellen; step children, Ushi; Rica; and Moni; and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Roselett; Leanna; and Cecil.
