View Funeral Webcast  Michael McCrory Guess, 70, retired Captain with Tennessee National Guard, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at his residence on Main Street in Mt. Pleasant. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Carl Yaglowski and Gary Beaty officiating. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born May 6, 1947 in Lubbock, Texas, he was the son of the late Leverett Guess and the late Martha McCrory Guess. He was a 1965 graduate of Columbia Military Academy and for several years was a volunteer for the Chaplain Ministries for the Maury County Jail. Mr. Guess was a member of First Family Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Michele (Stefan) Maupin of Culleoka; Stephanie Guess of Coldwell, Idaho; sons, William Guess of Antioch; Michael (Maria) Guess of Murfreesboro; brothers, Larry Guess; Lynn Guess both of Raleigh, North Carolina; grandchildren, Megan (Casey) Wassell; Walker Maupin; Chaney Maupin; Wesley Guess; Emily Guess; and great grandchildren, Noah Roberson; and Eden Wassell.
