Michael Scot Parson

Michael Scot Parson, 42, self-employed contractor prior to 1995, died Friday, August 25, 2006 at his residence on Sunset Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Dave Ziegler officiating. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnchols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Mack Spencer Parson and a member of Central Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Lynn Denton Parson,; a daughter, Stephanie (Jeff) Hines; a son, Jon Colburn; a grandson, Jeffery Hines, III; his mother, Jayne Norman Parson; a sister, Tracy Parson; a nephew, Joseph Symlar, all of Columbia; and several other close family members and friends. Active pallbearers are Adam Crotzer, Lee Norman, Monte Norman, Marty Williamson, Wayne Phillips, Jon Colburn, and Jimmy Phillips. Honorary pallbearers include Terry Ervin, Brian Parson and his Central Christian Church family.
