Michael Scott Smith

Mr. Michael Scott Smith, 47, died Monday, July 28, 2008 at his residence on Gallatin Road in Nashville. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Brian Wiesinger officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Alameda, California native was the son of Paul D. Smith of Columbia and the late Donna Hall Smith. Survivors include one son, Tristen Smith of Gallatin; a brother, David Andrew Smith of Kentucky; two sisters, Sherryl Lynn Smith of St. Louis, Missouri and Sloane (Louis) Smith of Columbia; step-mother, Pamela Smith of Columbia; five nephews; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Steven Smith.
