Mr. William Michael "Mike" King, Jr., 34, resident of Morris Avenue, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Baker officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. Pleasant. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his parents are paternal grandparents, William L. and Helen King of Columbia; maternal grandparents, Harold and Jesse Grooms of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Mary Beth King, Carrie King, Dana Crumley; one brother, Matthew King; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Monty Gilliam, Bill Yancey, Gene Moore, David Calvert, Terry Green and Tony Crumley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Wiley, George Houser, Tommy Cook, Tommy Bone, and Royal Ranger leaders of Assembly of God church.
