Mildred Inez Brady

Miss Mildred Inez Brady, 87, long-time resident of Sunnyside Lane, died Sunday, October 30, 2005 at Nashville General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hil Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late S. B. Brady and Lula Jaggers Brady. She was a 1937 graduate of Columbia Central High School. She was associated for several years with Anderson Brothers & Foster and during World War II was employed by Monsanto Company. Miss Brady retired in 1982 from South Central Bell Telephone Company with over 38 years service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. For a number of years she attended the Church of Christ. Survivors include her brother, Howard C. Brady, with whom she made her home as original residents of Sunnyside; a niece, Janice B. (Dr. Carl) Zimmerman of Nashville; sister-in-law, Charlene S. Brady of Columbia; great-nephews, Dr. Geoffrey A. (Lisa) Zimmerman of Houston, Texas and Philip K. Zimmerman of Nashville. She was preceded in death by two brothers, William I. Brady and Francis E. Brady and a half-sister, Louise B. Hanson. Active pallbearers are Dr. Geoffrey Zimmerman, Philip Zimmerman, Leslie Goad and David Rash. Telephone Pioneers will serve as honorary pallbearers.
