Mildred Sue Williams, 68, former longtime resident of East 15th Street, went to be with her Savior on Sunday, December 18, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with her brother-in-law Dan Buie officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Malcolm Williams and the late Elora Hill Williams. A very loving and kind person, she loved her family and devoted her life to caring for her mother. She was a very devout Christian who read her Bible daily and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. Survivors include her sisters, Nita (Dan) Buie of Columbia; Shirley (William) Palmer of Etheridge; Kathy Johnson of Columbia; brothers, Malcolm Williams, Jr. of LaVergne; James Williams, Pahrump, Nevada; Charles Williams of Columbia; special friends, Janice Owens and Kathy Pedrick, both of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Maury Williams, David Williams, and Clyde Williams. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include the staff of NHC Columbia.
