Miss Jamie Renee Bloss

Miss Jamie Renee Bloss, 43, resident of Hampshire Pike, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Shelton and Rev. Steve Swango officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, 109 East 17th St., Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of Jimmy Bloss of Columbia and the late Lucy Carolyn Arthur Bloss. She volunteered at 911, Life Care Center of Columbia and NHC Healthcare of Columbia and loved to paint and make jewelry. Miss Bloss was a member of Loyal Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to her father include a sister, Kay (Dexter) Shelton of Madison, Alabama; brother, James Blaine Bloss of Columbia; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Shelton of Madison, AL, Roger Shelton of Huntsville, AL, Mark Shelton of Louisville, KY, Candace Bloss, Heather Bloss, Beth Jones all of Columbia; great nieces and great nephews, Mackenzie Kelley, Chad Chambers, Ryan Jones, Luke Jones all of Columbia; aunts, Marjorie Boshers of Columbia, Anne Arthur of Pulaski; special friends, Cheryl Howell, Bethany Dungy, Debbie Farris; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Myrtle Bloss Parrish and Estelle Simmons. Pallbearers will be Mark Shelton, Roger Shelton, Dexter Shelton, Mark Boshers, Phillip Howell, Kevin Farris and Steve Wheeler.
