Mrs. Beth Landers Barbato Mrs. Helen Elizabeth (Beth) Landers Barbato, 54, formerly of Columbia, died peacefully surrounded by her family, Monday, December 1, 2003, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bill Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Mount Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at Parkway Presbyterian Church in Corpus Christi at a time to be announced later. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1212, Columbia, Tennessee 38402. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com.The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Harold Landers and Helen Moore Landers. She graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1967. In March of 1977 she married Ray Barbato and one year later they moved to Corpus Christi. Beth was a long time active member of Parkway Presbyterian Church, an officer in Chapter AV P.E.O. Sisterhood, and a member of the Corpus Christi Aggie Moms. Beth's goodness and gentle spirit were evident by the life she shared with all who knew her. She was a loyal wife, loving mother and dear friend. Her graciousness and kind heart will be deeply missed.In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Ryan Barbato and Micah Barbato both of Corpus Christi; one daughter, Mary Beth Barbato of Corpus Christi; brother Moore (Karen) Landers of Columbia; sister Gail Landers, of Columbia; two nephews, Hal(Millie)Landers and Ross Sutton of Columbia; and niece, Bethany(Tracey)Harbin of Franklin.Pallbearers will be Ross Sutton, Hal Landers, Tracey Harbin, Doug Young, Steve La Cour and Adam Davis.
