Mrs. Othelia Creel Pinkard, 54, resident of 7th Avenue, died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at her son's home in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Swango and Rev. Bob Wells officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery. The Lawrence County native was the daughter of the late Edward M. Creel and Ophie McKissack Creel . She was first married to James L. Johnson who preceded her in death in 1980. On April 3, 1985 she married Ray Pinkard. She was a homemaker and member of Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Ray Pinkard of Columbia; daughter, Paula (Roy) Pinkard of Columbia; son, Dwayne Johnson of Nashville; three grandchildren, Leslie Johnson, Harley Beard, Tony Pinkard; one great-grandchild, Roman Dwayne Johnson; three sisters, Norma (Kyle) Rush of Hebron, Indiana, Wanda (Frank) Sealey of Lynnville, Donna (Arthur) Crigger of Lewisburg; one brother, Gaston "Bud" (Duwan) Creel of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Brian Crigger, Keith Miller, Mike Johnson, Tracy Miles, Tracy Sealey, Eddie Sealey, Frank Springer and Tim Creel.
