Mrs. Annie "Sue" Dark Demastus, 96, longtime resident of the Glendale Community, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at NHC Hillview. A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Mount Cemetery with David Dault officiating. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Sam D. Dark and Cassie Ophelia Speed Dark. On October 15, 1933 she married Carl Demastus who preceded her in death August 26, 1978. Mrs. Demastus was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Culleoka. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy (Jimmy) Williams of Columbia; four grandchildren, Suzanne (Scott) Supplee of Reisterstown, Maryland; David (Lisa) Gibson of Columbia; Julie Williams of Glendale; Janet Williams of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; four great grandchildren, Cassie Paton, Flannery Supplee, Elsbeth Supplee, all of Reisterstown, Maryland; Kayla Gibson of Columbia. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Sue Gibson; one brother, Nolan Dark; and two sisters, Frances Dark Davidson and Alma Dark Haithcoat. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Central Presbyterian Church, Dr. Cummins Couch, Karen Perry, Edward Moore and staff at NHC Hillview.
