Muriel Rose Hall Warren, 79, longtime resident of Double Branch Road, died Friday, May 5, 2017 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Swango officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born March 28, 1938, in Staunton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John E. Hall and the late Evelyn E. Gibson Hall Byrd. The 1956 Columbia Central High School graduate retired as receptionist and Administrative Assistant from the Social Security Administration following thirty-one years' employment. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling and participated in a bowling league. She was an avid reader and was very dedicated to her family. Mrs. Warren was a member of Loyal Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband whom she married December 29, 1956, David T. Warren of Columbia; daughter, Carolee Warren (Jimmy) Beecham of Lafayette; granddaughter, Allison Rose Beecham of Lafayette; sister, Jackie (Glenn) Johnson of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Haley; brother, John "Butch" Hall; brother-in-law, Joe Haley; and nephew, Mark Tracy Haley. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
