Murry Daniel Steward Jr

Mr. Murry Daniel "Dee" Steward, Jr., 68, former long-time resident of Dyer Street in Columbia, died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Crestview Nursing Home in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Terry Bear and Charles Clark officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Murry D. Steward, Sr. and Nona Poteete Steward. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Survivors include two sisters, Carolyn (J. C.) McCutchen of White Bluff and Jewell Austin of Chapmansboro; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Paul Hayes, Jeff McCutchen, Billy Ray King, Allen Vandiver, William Robert King, Gregg Lee, James Clark, and W. C. "Wimpy" Jones.
