Myrta White Mrs. Myrta Collins White, 89, widow of C.W. White and longtime resident of Pleasant Drive, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with John R. Vaughan and Hugh McHenry officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 1 - 4p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Rose Hill Cemetery, P.O. The Marshall County native was the daughter of the late Brantley Collins and Maple Willis Collins. She was a retired employee of J.C. Penney and later worked at Parks Belk. She was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons, Bobby Wayne (Irene) White, Jerry Thomas (Betty Jo) White and Roger Dale (Kathy) White all of Columbia; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Ann (Hugh) McHenry of Killen, Alabama; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several cousins. Pallbearers will be Bobby Wilson, Ike Willis, George Phillips, Billy Wayne Akin, Mark White, Larry White, Wayne White, Roger White and Tim White.
