Nancy Carolyn Johns, 77, retired employee of Maury Regional Medical Center and resident of Columbia, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 9:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Reverend Lang Ingrum officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born February 18, 1944 in Maury County, she was the youngest daughter of the late Kenneth Hamilton Johns and the late Nona Mae Hickman Johns. She was a 1962 graduate of Columbia Central High School. After retirement, she worked for the Maury County Nutrition Program at the Senior Center. Ms. Johns was very loved and will be missed by her family and many friends. Survivors include her daughter, Dana Lynn (Kenny) Lovell of Columbia; sister, Christine Turner of Pulaski; grandson and his family, Jeff (Tiffany) Lovell; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Becky Lynch, Glenda Glasco, Ruth Ann Smith, and Judy Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Wiline Baggett in 2004; and Joyce Faye Roland in 2008.
