Nancy Helen Little Howell

MRS. A. C. HOWELL, SR. Mrs. Nancy Helen Little Howell, 83, widow of A. C. Howell, Sr. and a resident of Barrow Court, died Sunday, March 16, 2003 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. David McGregor officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Rutherford County native was the daughter of the late Charles Lee Little and Mary Ann Sheffield Little. She was a member of the McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church and active in the Cumberland Presbyterian Women. Mrs. Howell was retired from Maury Regional Hospital where she operated the switchboard for a number of years. She was a member of the Columbia Business and Professional Women and past member the Maury County Doll Club. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, A. C. and Judy Howell of Columbia and Greg and Therese Howell of Brentwood; a sister, Vantrease Russell of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren, Amy (Joe) Carney of Memphis, Mary (Jeff) Mahoney of Chattanooga, Whitney Howell and Courtney Howell of Brentwood; a great-grandchild, Michael Mahoney. Nephews and Elders of McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church will serve as pallbearers.
