View Funeral Webcast Nancy Jane Westmoreland Derryberry, 78, retired Secretary for Farm Bureau, died Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Joey Westmoreland and Jackie White officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born June 22, 1944 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Westmoreland and late Nettie Zula McCollum Westmoreland. Mrs. Derryberry was a graduate of Culleoka High School and Columbia Business College. Mrs. Derryberry was an excellent cook, never met stranger, and loved everyone especially her pets. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She grew up attending West 7th Street Church of Christ and Highland Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, James “Jimmy” Derryberry; sisters, Mary Jo Abanatha, Brenda (Jerry) Brown; and nieces and nephews, Joe “Joey” (Dee) Westmoreland, Rhonda (Mark) Delk, Delana (Kevin) White, Stephanie (Jason) Durham, Chad (Leslie Ann) Westmoreland, Callie (Tim) Wilkins, Justin Brown, Melissa (Carter) Cheek, Jeff (Angie) Daniels, Mike (Pam) Haley, and Allison Lovell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, David Westmoreland, Don Westmoreland, Steve Westmoreland; nephews, Kent Westmoreland, Greg Cunningham, and Brent Westmoreland. Active pallbearers will be Wayne Troope, Doug Baker, Donna Baker, Melissa Cheek, Jeff Wright, and Jerry Brown. Honorary pallbearers include Jamie Hubble, Nelson and Marie Huey, Ray and Nelda Bone, Fred Baker, Brenda Westmoreland, Wanda Gibson, Jean Westmoreland, Jeff Daniels, Justin Brown, Chad Westmoreland, Johnny White, and Allison Lovell.
