Nelson Houser Mr. Ellis Nelson Houser, 63, carpenter and longtime resident of the Water Valley Community, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Earl Davis and Thomas Culberson officiating. Burial will be in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Arch Lipscomb Houser and Annie Lee Dodson Houser. He was a 1958 graduate of Santa Fe High School. Mr. Houser made his home in Michigan for several years. He was a member of Godwin-Chappell United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Archie Lee (Stanfill) Farris and Mrs. Carole Jean (Carl) Sellers, both of Columbia; Mrs. Charlotte (Bob) Gray of Water Valley; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Stanfill Farris, Bob Gray, Carl Sellers, Steve Farris, Stan Farris, Darryl Gray, Lewis Houser, and Bobby Houser.
