Nichole "Nicky" Haynes Morehead

View Funeral Webcast Ms. Nichole Yvette "Nicky" Haynes Morehead, 51, resident of La Vergne, died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Stonecrest Medical Center in Smyrna. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Kane officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of Martha Sue Biffle Haynes of La Vergne and the late Kenneth Leon Haynes. She was very passionate about family and a beacon of love and bright light everywhere she went. She loved everyone including the young and the old and always tried to help everyone. Known as an excellent cook, she loved sharing homemade dinners with family and friends. Nicky enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing and hunting. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Tammy Haynes of Crossville; brother, Kenneth Leon Haynes, Jr. of Nunnelly; aunts, Grace Doering of Canby, Oregon; Beverly Collins of Mt. Juliet; and Carolyn Dodson of Columbia; nieces, Morgan Johnson of Knoxville; and Meagan Johnson of Chattanooga; nephew, Shane Haynes; and three great nieces. She was preceded in death by her beloved Dalmatian, "Pepper". Active pallbearers will be Ricky Smith, Jim Crowley, Shane Haynes, Jason Dodson, Clay Collins, and Steve Richardson.
