Nora Gail Dugger Dixon, 56, pathologist assistant for 22 years for PCA Southeast, died Friday, July 13, 2007 at her residence on Washington Avenue in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The Maury County native attended Columbia Central High School, was devoted to and loved her work, gardening, and her animals. Survivors include her husband, Terry Hughlet Dixon of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Mellisa K. Howell Wagner of Tullahoma; father, Leonard Dugger of Mt. Pleasant; sisters, Mary Jo (David) McMeen and Janie Crane, both of Columbia; brothers, Roy (Sherry) Dugger and Ronnie (Joan) Dugger, both of Culleoka, and Mark Dugger of Columbia; 13 nieces and nephews; 9 great-nieces and great-nephews; devoted cousins, Judy Stanfill of Columbia, Shirley Dugger of Detroit, Michigan, Rosemary Cross of Columbia, and Terry Lee Mathis of White House; and devoted friend, Gloria Tharp of Lynnville. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Nolan Dugger and mother and father-in-law, Wilton and Hughlet Dixon. Active pallbearers are Jo Adam Dugger, Jerry Hendrix, Roy Tharp, Brandon Dixon, David Stanfill, and Joe Anderson.
