Nora Mae Ferguson Tipton

December 12, 1940 — July 30, 2004

Mrs. Nora Mae Ferguson Tipton, 63, former assistant chef at Graymere Country Club and resident of Denise Drive, died Saturday, July 31, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 4:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Brother Ted Burleson officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends after 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late William Frank Ferguson and Clara Pauline Matthews Ferguson. She was a member of the West 7th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Debra Gail Littlejohn of Columbia, Paula Renee (Dean) Colson of Cincinnati, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Machelle Kessler, Angela Batts, Christy Littlejohn, Kendall Gowan, Brandon Gowan, Amanda Dugger, Chad Fagan, Zack Fagan, Kaylee Colson, Johnathan Colson; five great-grandchildren, Anthony Kessler, Andrew Kessler, Kayla Harris, Keelan Littlejohn, Lashaun Marlow; two sisters, Barbara (Wayne) Parrish of Nashville, Pam (Bill) Mills of Columbia; a brothers, William Fegurson of Augusta, Georgia. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathrene Ferguson. Pallbearers are Wayne Parrish, Kenneth Gowan, Mark Kessler, Mike Harris, William Ferguson, Dean Colson.
