Nora Phillips Westmoreland

Mrs. Nora Elois Phillips Westmoreland, 61, resident of Chestnut Drive, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at Rosewood Manor. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Altrogge officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4- 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Maple Dean Phillips and Millie Butcher Phillips. She was married to Sam Thomas "Tommy" Westmoreland who preceded her in death on December 31, 2003. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Donna (Junior) Sasser, Mrs. Emily Sizemore both of Waverly Hall, Georgia, Mrs. Tammy (Tony) Hampton of Leoma, Mrs. Chrissy (Kevin) Hollis of Ethridge; three sons, Rodney Allred of Columbia, Timothy Dale Keeton of Lawrenceburg, Billy Joe (Evelyn) Hood of Leoma; three step-children, Mark (Ann) Westmoreland, Jeff Westmoreland, Tony Westmoreland all of Columbia; seventeen grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; eleven step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Gertrude Appleton of Columbia, Mrs. Ruby (Wayne) Salters of Pulaski; and one brother Herbert (Katherine) Phillips of Pulaski. She was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Ann Phillips and three brothers, Billy Wayne Phillips, John Thomas Phillips and James Maple Phillips.
