Norma Daniel

MRS. MARTIN DANIEL Mrs. Norma Joyce Gray Daniel, 51, accomplished seamstress and employee of the Fabric & Crafts Department at Wal-Mart of Columbia and resident of Lake Drive, died Saturday, October 12, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Unit at Maury Regional Hospital. The Maury County native was a 1969 graduate of Columbia Central High School and a member of the Northside Baptist Church. She was a charter member and first president and current president of the Maury County Doll Club and the Keep the World Sewing Club. She was preceded in death by her father, Malcolm E. Gray, Jr. Survivors include her husband, Martin T. "Marty" Daniel of Columbia; a daughter, Summer Daniel of Columbia; a son, Martin Keith (Jody) Daniel of White Bluff; her mother, Adell Goins Gray of Columbia; a sister, Jane (Don) Howell of Columbia; two brothers, Don Gray and David (Rita) Gray of Columbia; two grandsons, Everett Daniel and Daly Daniel of White Bluff; nieces and nephews, Andrea (Scott) Troope, Tracy (Joe) Stovall, Jordan Gray, Julie Warren, Candice (Tommy) Johnson, David Howell, Lance (Robbie) Allen, Jason Gray, Zachary Gray, Lance (Jacqueline) Warren; sister-in-law, Sharon (Larry) Warren; brother-in-law, Richard (Anna) Daniel. Active pallbearers are Lance Warren, David Howell, Jason Gray, Lance Allen, Zachary Gray, Scott Troope, Joe Stovall, Tommy Johnson. Honorary pallbearers include Maury County Doll Club, friends and fellow employees at Wal-Mart, Dr. Jameson, Dr. Worthman, Dr. Messenger, Dr. Woodley and Staff; Cancer Center Staff and Dr. Wendt; 3rd floor Oncology Staff and sewing and craft friends.
