Mrs. Norma Jean Brown Duvall, 85, died Friday, September 10, 2021 at NHC Columbia. A private graveside service will be conducted at Spring Hill Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Rufus Clifford officiating. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Mrs. Duvall was born on September 18, 1936 in Columbia, TN to the late Joe Richard Brown and the late Amanda Myrtle Brown. She married her husband, Joe Willie Duvall in April 1954. He preceded her in death in May of 2019. Mrs. Duvall was the owner and operator of The Chatter Box Beauty Salon. She loved camping, music, cooking and she loved her grandchildren most of all. She was a faithful member of the church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters; Sonia (Robin) Trousdale of Florida, Starling “Star” (Brian) Williams of Columbia, TN, son; Joe W. Duvall, Jr. of Florida, grandchildren; Ashley (Brett) Pelfrey, Nathan Williams, Abby Williams, Benton Williams, Chloe Nichole Estes; great-grandchildren; Ella Pelfrey and Ethan Pelfrey; sister, Faye (Jack) Weaver and brother, Jimmy (Doris) Brown. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Serving as pallbearers will be the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Columbia Academy and the church of Christ Disaster Relief.
