Norma Fay Pruett McCandless

Mrs. Norma Fay Pruett McCandless, 71, retired employee of Cosmolab in Lewisburg and resident of Luke Moser Road in Columbia, died Monday, April 14, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 P.M. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jim Cox officiating. Burial will be in Welch Cemetery in Marshall County. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Walter Edward Pruett and Sarah Sue Loftin Pruett. She attended the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, James P. McCandless of Columbia; one son, Pat McCandless of Columbia; one sister, Sarah Barnes of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, Chris McCandless, Dustin McCandless, Kelly McCandless all of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews, many of whom she helped raise. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Moser. Pallbearers will be Charles Van Hooser, Jack Van Hooser, Michael Hedrick, Randy Joe Hedrick, Brent McCandless and Eddie Dale. Honorary pallbearers will be all other nephews and Billy Van Hooser.
