View Funeral Webcast Ollie Scott Minor, 92, retried LPN for Williamson County Hospital and Hillview Health Care, and a resident of Columbia, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in Spring Hill. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend James Norton officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born March 21, 1929 in Davidson County, she was the daughter of the late John P. Scott and the late Hester Waller Scott. She married Marvin C. Bradley who preceded her in death in 1974 and in 1986, she married William “Bill” Minor who preceded her in death in 2005. Mrs. Minor was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include her nieces, Brenda (Philip) Clarke of Dayton, Ohio; Hester (Jim) Hewitt of Columbus, Ohio; Jan Hahan; nephews, William Heins of Grove City, Ohio; James Bradley of Spring Hill; step daughter, Tonya Minor Combs of Nashville; step son, Joe Kent Minor of Columbia; step grandchild, Mandy (Rob) Eldridge of Portland; and special friends and caregiver, Tina Hoyt, Tammy Wiggins, and Angel Johnson. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, David Earl Simpson; brother, John Wesley Scott; and sisters, Ophelia “Scottie” Hines and Margaret Gallaher. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
