View Funeral Webcast Opal Faye Conner Pennington, 80, homemaker, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at her residence in Williamsport. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 12:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bobby Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Bend Cemetery. Born May 18, 1940 in Lewis County, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Conner and the late Fannie Smith Conner. Mrs. Pennington was a member of Greenfield Bend Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, whom she married December 18, 1963, James Pennington, Sr. of Williamsport; son, James “Jim” (Susan) Pennington, Jr. of Hampshire; daughter, Karen Patterson of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Danny Patterson, Nate Patterson, and Shep Patterson all of Spring Hill; sisters, Lydia Floyd of Hohenwald; Ruby C. Williams of Mt. Pleasant; Jean Tabb of Hendersonville; Wilma (Joe) Graham of Kingsport; brother, William (Ann) Conner of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nina Clay, and Leo Ellen Fielder. Active pallbearers will be Danny Patterson, Nate Patterson, Shep Patterson, and Billy Conner.
