Pamela Lynn Foster Brown, 63, resident of Columbia, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday June, 5, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Travers officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the 40 & 8 Nurses Training Program, Voiture 1394 Locale, P.O. Born January 31, 1956, in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Claiborne Foster and the late Wyllodean Parker Foster. She was a graduate of Columbia Central High School Class of 1974, Columbia State Community College Class of 1976, where she earned an Associates in Office Management. She also attended Middle Tennessee State University for one year. After she completed her education, she worked for the family business, Foster Insurance Company for several years, and later in life worked as an administrative assistant to the President at Tennessee Automotive Associates. She was a member and Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 19. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Roger Dale Brown, Sr. of Columbia; sister, Anita Jo Foster of Columbia; step sons, Roger Dale (Jessica) Brown, Jr. of Camden, SC, Heath (Renee) Brown of Mt. Juliet; step grandchildren, Ashley Brown, Courtney Brown, Garrett Brown, Reagan Brown, Trey Brown, Brandon Brown, Ryleigh Brown; step sister, Teresa McClure; step brothers, Jimmy (Carrie) Pfieffer, Robert Pfieffer, Joe Pfieffer, Michael (Sisse) Pfieffer; niece, Andrea (Robert) Williams; nephew, Kris Hardison; great nephews, Chase VunCannon, Austin Parr, Hunter Williams; aunt, Martha Luster; numerous cousins; and several step nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step mother, Mayon Pfieffer Foster. Active pallbearers will include Roger Dale Brown, Jr., Heath Brown, Robert Williams, Chase VunCannon, Austin Parr, David Massey. Honorary pallbearers will include the members of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 19.
