Pamela “Pam” Kiefer Morse, 65, retired tax preparer for H& R Block and resident of Brookhaven Drive, died Monday, January 7, 2019 at Life Care Center of Columbia. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Mrs. Morse will be conveyed to Locke Funeral Home in Rowley, Iowa for a service at a later date. Burial will be in Rowley Cemetery in Rowley, Iowa. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born November 21, 1953 in Independence, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Warren Harvey Kiefer and the late Rosaltha Humphrey Kiefer. She was a 1972 graduate of Independence High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa for two years. A very dedicated mother and grandmother, Mrs. Morse had been involved in Girl Scout’s and P.T.O. with her children. She was very artistically talented, enjoyed baking cakes and making porcelain dolls. Mrs. Morse was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Dean Edward Morse of Columbia; children, Dianne Michelle (Mike) Toon of Maineville, Ohio; Chanelle Elyse (Todd) Owens of Cornersville; James Dean (Shannon) Morse of Spring Hill; sister, Sherryl Rasmussen of Independence, Iowa; brother, Russell (Linda) Kiefer of Oxford Junction, Iowa; grandchildren, Brianna Toon, Rebekah Toon, Cameron Toon, Andrew Owens, Alyssa Owens, Annica Morse, and Catelyn Morse; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Kiefer; and nephew, Rusty Kiefer.
