MRS. W. NATHAN FOX Mrs. Parizetta Anna Moore Fox, 92, former long-time resident of Myers Avenue, died December 17, 2003 at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia where she made her home for the past two years. Funeral services for Mrs. Fox will be conducted Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with David D. Davidson and Ted Burleson officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Columbia Academy, 1101 West Seventh Street, Columbia, 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family atwww.oakesandnichols.com. Born and reared in Putnam County, she was the daughter of the late Haskell H. Moore and Etta Terry Moore. In 1929, she married William Nathan Fox and they came to Columbia to make their home in 1942. Mr. Fox died April 29, 1987. She received her early education in Putnam County and attended private art school for six years. A talented floral designer, she was associated with a local flower shop for seven years and and taught floral design at Columbia State Community College. Mrs. Fox shared her design talents with her friends and provided floral arrangements for a number of years for her church. She was also well-known for baking and designing cakes for weddings and other special occasions.She was a member of the West Seventh Street Church of Christ and the Ladies Bible Class. Active in community affairs, she was a member of the former Sarah Polk Garden Club, Thomas McKissick Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Captain James Madison Sparkman Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, James K. Polk Memorial Association and Defense Supply Center Richmond Women's Club.Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Samuel H. Jones of Chester, Virginia.
