View Funeral Webcast Patricia Sewell Fitzgerald, 85, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 in Columbia. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Hill Cemetery in the Theta Community with Wendell Jump officiating. Born June 2 1938 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Clint Sewell and the late Virginia Arbelle Jack Sewell. She was married to Loyd Dean Fitzgerald for sixty-two years who preceded her in death October 23, 2018. Loyd Dean and Patricia made their home in Theta where they raised four children. Affectionately known to her family as “Nanny.” Her home was filled with love, laughter, and good food. Her children and grandchildren are filled with memories of Sundays at Nanny’s where food was plenty and love was much. Survivors include her children, Art (Teresa) Fitzgerald, Mark (Shannon) Fitzgerald, and Crystal (Jeff) Sweeney; cherished grandchildren, Ashley (Scotty) West, Jordan (Rachel) Fitzgerald, Cody (Bailey) Fitzgerald, Austin Stanfill, Kirstin Stanfill, Cole (Bethany) Sweeney, Rachel Sweeney; eight great grandchildren; brother, Joe Thomas (Vickie) Sewell; and several nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Dean Fitzgerald; and son-in-law, Bo Stanfill.
