Patricia June Gibson Beard, 68, resident of Lookout Drive, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Grace Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Mark Lindstrom officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Monday from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at Grace Church. Born August 1, 1949 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Joe Ervin Gibson and the late Era Euvary Currie Gibson. The 1967 graduate of Columbia Central High School was a former employee of Lucas Chevrolet and First National Bank. In more recent years, her life and love centered around her family. Affectionately known as "Granna", she was a constructive role model and she brought much warmth and love to all. June's warm spirit, sense of humor and smile touched everyone around her. She also enjoyed flower gardening. June was a longtime member of Grace Church of the Nazarene, where she was a former Sunday School teacher, pianist, Children & Youth Director, and taught Precept Ministries. Survivors include her husband, Marion David Beard of Columbia; daughters, Leah Diane (Aaron) Bigger of Columbia; Lori Anna (Jameson) Stinnett of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Avery Anna Bigger, Briton Gage Beard, Kyler Jacob Bigger; mother-in-law, Dorothy Shouse Beard; sisters-in-law, Wanda (Jackie) Rowland, Joyce Beard, Renee Gibson, Donna Cothran White; nieces and nephews, Tracy (Steve) Ellis, Toni (Lance) Malcolm, Daniel (Chris) Gibson, Amy Gibson, Dustin Gibson, Derrick (Tia) Gibson; great nieces and great nephews, Tanner Ellis, Taylor Ellis, Tatum Ellis, Abbie Malcolm, Natalie Malcolm, Levi Malcolm, Ian Gibson, Zeke Gibson, Joseph Gibson, Jacob Gibson, John Gibson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Gibson and Ricky Gibson; father-in-law, Ernest Marion "Doc" Beard; and brother-in-law, Ernest Carroll Beard. Active pallbearers will be Aaron Bigger, Jameson Stinnett, Daniel Gibson, Derrick Gibson, Dustin Gibson, Lance Malcolm, Steve Ellis, Taylor Ellis, and Tanner Ellis.
