Patricia Jane Spires

Miss Patricia Jane Spires, 53, former employee of Modern Cleaners and resident of Knox Circle, died Monday, November 12, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Paul Spires and Rosie Wiley Spires. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Nikki Spires of Williamsport; son, Michael (Lisa) Denney of Mt. Juliet; three grandchildren, Emiley Denney of Mt. Juliet, Haley Hill and Austin Hill both of Columbia; three sisters, Margaret McClain, Virginia Watson, Shirley Bunting all of Columbia; one brother, Bobby Spires of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Maggie Yowell, Ruth Watson, Mary Carol Spires and one brother, Paul Spires, Jr. Pallbearers will be Nikki Spires, Michael Denney, Austin Hill, Glenn Davidson, Danny Grooms and Charlie Grooms. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Gibran Naddy, Dr. Thomas Quinn, Tony Hill and the I.C.U. Nursing staff at Maury Regional Hospital.
