Patricia Jean Thrasher Vaughn, 70, retired Beautician, died Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at her residence in the Bryant Station Community.Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Kersey and Bryan Basham officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Mount Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born August 14, 1947 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Hardison Lee Thrasher and the late Rachel Ann Craig Thrasher. She was a 1965 graduate of Columbia Central High School. For several years, she was a beautician at Time, before working out of her home. Mrs. Vaughn was known for her loving and caring nature, always thinking of others by sending birthday and get-well cards, visiting and cooking for those that were sick, and always had an encouraging word for everyone. She enjoyed keeping her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She was an active member of Scribners Mill Church of Christ, where she loved doing work for the church. Survivors include her husband, whom she married August 7, 1965, Jerry Thomas Vaughn of Bryant Station Community; daughter, Karen (Danny) Pugh of Franklin; grandsons, Drake Pugh; Parker Pugh and Reed Pugh; sisters, Brenda Cox of Lebanon; Nancy (Larry) Pigue of Mooresville; brothers, Lane (Peggy) Thrasher of Culleoka; Dennis Thrasher of Culleoka; and Jim Thrasher of Culleoka; and several nieces and nephews.Active pallbearers will be Bill Thrasher, Daryl Thrasher, Keith Pigue, Brian Pigue, Dwayne Martin, and Wayne Martin.
