Patsy Goatz

Mrs. Patsy Ann Blair Goatz, 57, teacher assistant at Riverside Elementary School and resident of Creekstone Drive, died Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Sunday at Northview Church of Christ with Gregg Elrod officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Sunday after 1:30 P.M. at the church. The Maury County native was the daughter of J. W. Blair of Columbia and the late Pauline "Polly" Cooley Blair. She was a 1966 graduate of Columbia Central High School. Mrs. Goatz was a member of Northview Church of Christ. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband Dennis Ray Goatz of Columbia; one daughter, Stacey (Steven) Mashburn of Columbia; one son, Mark Goatz of Columbia; stepmother, Sue Blair of Columbia; two grandchildren, Jackson Mashburn and Parker Mashburn, both of Columbia; and two sisters, Angie Glass of Columbia; Lisa (Rick) Cole of Mt. Pleasant. She was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Blair. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be teachers and staff at Riverside Elementary School.
