Paul H. Tomlinson, 84, retired employee of Union Carbide and resident of Wheeler Drive, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Rosewood Manor. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Swango officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Dewey Hayes Tomlinson and Alta Howell Tomlinson. He was a member of Loyal Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Marie McCrary Tomlinson of Columbia; two sons, Paul Wayne (Carol) Tomlinson of Petersburg; James William (Sarah) Tomlinson of Baker, Louisiana; one daughter, Paula (Mark) Markham of Knoxville; one stepson, Larry Wayne (Debbie) Ketchum of Birmingham, Alabama; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Waldrop and Mrs. Lucille Delaney, both of Columbia; one brother, William Tomlinson of Murfreesboro; fourteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Ronnie Vick. Pallbearers will be Mike Davidson, Larry Vick, Jerry Johns, Wayne Romesburg, R. L. King, Joe San Caudle, Jimmy Harris, and Dwayne O'Quinn. Honorary pallbearers will be retired employees of Union Carbide and men of Loyal Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
