Paul McCarthy Lynch

March 25, 1919 — October 22, 2005

Mr. Paul McCarthy Lynch, 87, resident of Brannon Court, died Sunday, October 23, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Tennessee National Guard. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4-8p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Cowan, Tennessee native was the son of the late Henry Lynch and Mary Steward Lynch. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was the retired owner/operator of several service stations. Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth "Polly" Burgess of Minneapolis, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Ron Dean Burgess and Michael Brandon Burgess both of Minneapolis, MN; one great-granddaughter, Sadria Burgess of Minneapolis, MN; one sister, AZ Sesler of Dickson; and one sister-in-law, Dot Lynch of Columbia. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Lem Lynch, Jimmy Lynch, John Henry Lynch and David Lynch and one sister, Annie Hannah. Pallbearers will be members of the Tennessee National Guard Honor Guard.
