Paul Wayne Tomlinson, 72, resident of Green Street in Petersburg, Tennessee, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Williamson Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with James Tomlinson and Gene Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. and Friday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Paul Hardison Tomlinson and the late Mary Alice Roberson Musgrove. He was a retired mail deliverer for DHL Worldwide, after retirement he drove for the Maury County and Marshall County Public Transportation. For several years, Mr. Tomlinson was a projectionist for the Sundown Drive-in, Polk Theatre and several other theatres in Middle Tennessee. Survivors include his wife, whom he married January 28, 1984, Carol Jeanette Allen Tomlinson of Petersburg; children, Patrick (Melisha) Tomlinson of Columbia; Chris (Tonia) Tomlinson of Columbia; John (Tanya) Tomlinson of Columbia; Keith (Seanda) Tomlinson of Columbia; Angela (Casey) Potts of Culleoka; Amanda (Chris) Collins of Lewisburg; sisters, June Burrow of Lewisburg; Faye Savage of Columbia; brother, James (Sarah) Tomlinson of Baker, Louisiana; fourteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; half-sister, Paula Sue (Mark) Markham of Knoxville; step brother, Larry (Debbie) Ketchum of Birmingham; and uncle, Billy Tomlinson of Murfreesboro.He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Griffis; and brother, Dwight "Sonny" Tomlinson.Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
