Mrs. Pauline "Pollie" Wilson Journey Lanius, 83, resident of Crestland Drive, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Limestone Lodge in Athens, Alabama. Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2006 at Loftin Cemetery with burial rites conducted by The Rev. Thomas Wilson and the Order of the Eastern Star. The family will visit with friends at the cemetery following the committal. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements. The Waynesville, North Carolina native was the daughter of the late Raymond Lester Wilson and Ruby Russell Wilson. She was a graduate of Waynesville, North Carolina High School.She was first married to Samuel R. Journey who preceded her in death December 2, 1993. She later married Ralston Lanius of Columbia, who survives.She was employed as secretary for Foster Insurance Agency and later worked in the office of the Tennessee Department of Employment Security. Mrs. Lanius was a member of the Order of Eastern Star since 1956 and a past Worthy Matron. She was also active in the local Alzheimers Family Support Group and as a member of West Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church.In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Journey (Robert) Smith of Tampa, Florida; one son, Ray (Susan) Journey of Athens, Alabama; a sister, Virginia (Carl) Lee of Aiken, S.C.; a daughter-in-law, Jane Journey of Columbia; three step-children, William C. (Linda) Lanius, Bobby W. (Sandra) Lanius, Lonnie R. (Pam) Lanius; three brothers, Tom (Dot) Wilson of Louisville, Kentucky; Henry (Wanda) Wilson of Candler, North Carolina; George (Beverly) Wilson of Virginia Beach, Virginia; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Steve Journey and brother, R.L. Wilson, Jr.
