Pauline Norman Pressnell

Mrs. Pauline Norman "Polly" Pressnell, 84, former resident of Mere Drive, died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Doug Mann officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Mt. Pleasant native was the daughter of the late Russell Perry Norman and Leona Sharber Norman and a graduate of Hay Long High School. Mrs. Pressnell was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene. She was a former member of Graymere Ladies Golf Association, Stoneybrook Ladies Golf Association, and Trotwood Garden Club. Survivors include a daughter, Sisse (Michael) Pfieffer of Franklin; two sons, Harry Allen (Pam) Pressnell, Jr. and Jon Harvey (Janice) Pressnell, Sr., both of Columbia; a sister, Mary Dale Norman Morrison of Columbia; six grandchildren, Hal Pressnell, Renee (Tony) Click, Shae (Lauralee) Pfieffer, Elizabeth (Jim) Moser, Rebecca (Scott) Nichols, and Jon H. Pressnell, Jr.; twelve great-grandchildren, Caylee Moser, Hunter Moser, Blaine Click, Conner Click, Allie Click, McKenzie Pressnell, Leanna Pfieffer, Michael Job Pfieffer, Gabriel Pfieffer, Lilly Grace Nichols, Cole Nichols, and Elise Nichols; two nieces, Jane Norman Parsons and Shirley Norman McKennon; four nephews, Barry Crotzer, Adam Crotzer, Phil Clark, and Bobby Norman. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gracie Dodson and Betty Clark, and a brother, Robert Norman. Active pallbearers are Hal Pressnell, Jon Pressnell, Jr., Shae Pfieffer, Tony Click, Scott Nichols, Jim Moser, Barry Crotzer, Adam Crotzer, Phil Clark, and Bobby Norman. Honorary pallbearers include James Thomas Bell, Billie and Dorris Lovett, Ivy and Howard Dalton, Linda Brown, Shelby Riddle, Diane Meechum, Nell Thompson, Dianne Pressnell, Bob Sweeney, Charles "Spud" Crotzer, Olumide Aderoba, Teresa McClure, Dabney Mann, nurses and staff at The Bridge.
