Video Memories of Paxton FarrisPaxton Lee Farris, 17, student at Columbia Central High School and resident of the Hampshire Pike, died Sunday, January 15, 2006 as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Terry Peery and Barry Farris officiating. Burial will be in West Point Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Central High School Art Department, 921 Lion Parkway, Columbia, Tennessee, 38401. Survivors include his father, Stephen Lee Farris of Columbia; mother, Sheri Butler Farris (Robert) Newbern of Columbia; fraternal grandparents, Stanfill and Archie Farris of Columbia; maternal grandparents, Johnny and Barbara Butler of Columbia; step-grandparents, Tom and Barbara Newbern of Nashville; step-sisters, Katie Newbern, Molly Newbern both of Franklin; step-brother, Adam Newbern of Franklin; aunts and uncles, Stan and Pattie Farris of Culleoka, Larry and Jodi Newbern of Virginia; cousins, Leanna Farris of Culleoka, Amanda Newbern and Kevin Newbern both of Virginia; and special childhood friends, Kristin South of Santa Fe and Lauren Church of Columbia. He was preceded in death by an uncle, Patrick Butler; a cousin, Brandon Farris; great-grandparents, Robert and Willie Mae Hardison, Alvin and Louise Butler, L.M. and Ruth Farris, and Lipscomb and Annie Lee Houser. Pallbearers will be Paul Nickell, Dylan Hughes, Chad Blades, Seth Allen, Seth Moss, Keaton Woods, and Mike Callaro. Honorary pallbearers will be special friends from Columbia Central High School.
