Peggy Albright Allen

Mrs. Peggy Joyce Albright Allen, 73, resident of Knud Drive, died January 1, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30a.m., Tuesday at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Jacob officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 10 - 11 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. Mrs. Albright was the daughter of the late Walter Martin Albright and Frances Virginia Welch Albright. She was a 1950 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Gulf Park College for Women in Gulf Port, Mississippi. On June 15, 1952 she married William James "Jimmy" Allen who preceded her in death April 26, 1996. She had been employed by Woldridge Drugs and Tennessee Knitting Mills. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Bill Allen of Columbia and two sisters, Mrs. Shirley (Frank) Fachilla of Brentwood and Mrs. Frankie (Douglas) Church of Columbia. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
