Peggy Jo Jones Hall, 83, longtime resident of Spring Hill, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Born April 5, 1932 in Spring Hill, she was the daughter of the late Doc Edwin Jones and Betty Jane Lunn Jones. On September 12, 1959 she married Robert Gene Hall who preceded her in death on November 9, 1998. Mrs. Hall was a graduate of Cumberland High School in Nashville. A very strong willed and hard-working woman, Mrs. Hall faced each day with determination doing whatever jobs needed to provide for her family. She enjoyed outdoor work, cutting wood and riding the tractor. She was very competitive at Scrabble, all card games and word games, and slot machines. She was very interested in genealogy research and her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Randy (Jackie) Hall of Columbia; Debra McLendon of Rock Springs, Wyoming; Cindy "C. J." (Kenny) Lancaster of Spring Hill; twelve grandchildren, J. B. (Shaneal) Miller, Rob (Megan) Hall, Kacy Hall, Stephanie (Richard) Haley, Michelle McLendon, Chris Elrod, Scott Elrod, Mathew McLendon, Kyle McLendon, Randianne (Jay) Sears, Joshua Lancaster, and Shane (Stefanie) Lancaster; several great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joan Jones, Mary Jones, Juanita Jones; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughters, Bobbie Jo Hall and Jan Lawrence; sisters, Evelyn Prince Hardison and Mildred Wornack; and brothers, J. T. Jones, A. D. Jones, Richard Jones, and Bobby Jones. Active pallbearers will be Rob Hall, Shane Lancaster, Joshua Lancaster, J. B. Miller, Jay Sears, and Richard Haley. Honorary pallbearers will include John Tomaszewski, Rip Baxter, Dr. Houston Jameson and staff, and friends at Maury Regional Cancer Center.
