View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Peggy Mobley Thrasher, 79, went to her heavenly home on Thursday June 25, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center. She was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Mrs. Thrasher taught school at College Hill Elementary and Whitthorne Middle School and retired after 33 years. A Private Graveside service will be held on Monday at Polk Memorial Gardens. A public viewing will be held Sunday from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born January 1, 1941 in Hickman County, Peggy was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Mobley. She graduated from Hickman County High School, earned an Associates of Arts Degree from Columbia State Community College, and her Masters of Science degree in Education from Middle Tennessee State University. Mrs. Thrasher was a member of the Maury County Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Thrasher was a member of Chapel Hill Church of Christ. She loved crocheting, reading, and traveling across the country with her husband. Most of all, Mrs. Thrasher loved to spoil her five grandchildren. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 55 years, Paul Thrasher; her daughter, Tracy (Harry) Dreyer; her son, Christopher (Carrie) Thrasher; grandchildren, Dustin Dreyer, Madison Dreyer, Grace Thrasher, Reese Thrasher, and Annie Thrasher; sisters, Kay Shaw; Sandra (Bobby) McFarland; and Reba (Charles) Horner; brothers, Thomas (Ann) Mobley, Jr. Ernest (Wanda) Mobley; brother-in-law, Tommy Truett; and numerous niece & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Truett; and her brother-in-law, George Shaw. Pallbearers will be James Allen Bryant, Michael Bryant, Orlando Cox, Ricky Armstrong, Dustin Dreyer, Reese Thrasher, Al Hurt, Jason Fulmer, Rodney Shaw, McKale Batlz, and Tony Truett. Honorary pallbearers will be member of the WMS retirees.
