Peggy Jean "PJ" Morgan

February 6, 1944 — December 30, 2016

Peggy Dugger "PJ" Morgan, 72, gained her Heavenly reward as a good and faithful servant on Friday, December 30, 2016. She is survived by her faithful husband of 50 years, Vinton Lee Morgan, three children, Katie (Brent) Turner of Lascassas, TN, Daniel (Jaime) Morgan of Lewisburg, TN, and Anna (Joe) Wakham of Murfreesboro, TN. She was a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. She also leaves one brother, Don (Janice) Dugger of Old Hickory, TN, a sister Penny (Ed) Leibner of St. Charles, MO, a sister-in-law Linda (Bill) Steensland of Johnsville, OH, and a loyal best friend, Cathy Jo Reed. She was raised in Columbia, TN, and attended David Lipscomb College where she met a young man from Ohio, Vinton Morgan. They married and made Tennessee their home for 35 years. As a minister's wife, PJ assisted Vinton in every aspect of the church activities, all the while attending to her children's activities. She taught home economics at Forrest High School in Chapel Hill, TN, for 16 years influencing many to "Bee" all they could be. She and Vinton moved to Ohio in 2001 where she taught at Colonel Crawford High School as a Family & Consumer Sciences teacher for ten years. She was an active member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She enjoyed life with her Perry Church of Christ family where they made dresses for African children, shared meals, and worshipped together. She enjoyed opening her home to anyone but especially delighted in entertaining guests at their backwoods cabin. Family and friends were never surprised to see a camera in her hand because she was an avid photographer. She looked forward to entering pictures in the Morrow County Fair each year. Her favorite subjects were her grandchildren. PJ loved her family but she loved her Lord more and that carried over into every aspect of her life. To know her was to know a piece of Heaven. Her family will receive friends Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Visitation continues Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10 a.m. until time for the 11 a.m. funeral service. Family, Pastors and Friends touched by the "Bee" will share memories and offer thanks for the life of PJ Morgan. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in PJ's memory to World Bible School may be made at the funeral home. Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the Morgan family.
