View Video Tribute Phillip Nolen Skinner, 65, Lowboy Truck Driver for Civil Constructors and resident of Santa Fe Pike, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at St. Thomas West in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Bradley Dugger officiating. Born September 5, 1952 in Williamson County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William D. Skinner and the late Dora Mae House Skinner. He was a graduate of Franklin High School. He enjoyed dirt track racing and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Mr. Skinner was a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Barr Skinner of Columbia; sons, Brad (Ashley) Skinner; and Darrell (Dawn) Skinner both of Spring Hill; step daughter, Dana Grant (Richard) Smith of Columbia; grandchildren, Brayden Skinner; Tori Skinner; Jeffery Skinner; Mallory McLemore (Josiah) O’Neill; and Madison McLemore; great grandchild, Kennedy Wilder O’Neill; mother-in-law, Rachel Barr; brother-in-law, Steve (Sharon) Barr; and nieces, Heather Butler; and Stephanie (Brad) Stacy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Rayburn Anderson Barr. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Journey, Steve Barr, Josiah O’Neill, Logan Worthy, Richard Smith, Brad Stacy, Jimmy Fields, and Tandy Sullivan.
